Introduction

About the Museum

The Tsonga Kraal Museum is designed to represent the cultural products and building styles of the North Tsonga tribes, which were comprised of refuge groups from the Southern parts of Mozambique. The museum showcases a range of different building styles that have been used over the past 200 years, including different types of sleeping huts, grain, cooking huts, stores, the ancestral tree, a sacrificial hut, a goat hut, a chicken hut, and a cattle kraal.
