About the Museum
The Shark Museum is the passion project of shark specialist Alessandro De Maddalena and his wife, biologist Alessandra Baldi. The museum is a heartfelt tribute to Alessandra’s father, Sauro Baldi, a man whose profound love for science, archaeology, and art laid the foundation for what this museum has become. Opened in December 2021, the museum is housed in Villa Stellaris, an early 20th-century building lovingly renovated between 2020 and 2021.
